Our company was extremely happy and honored to be a part of this year's SEMA Show located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We had the privilege of being an exhibitor at the show, displaying all varieties of our custom domed decals at Booth 37230.
The show was filled with tens of thousands of participants: global automotive manufacturers, small businesses touting specialty products, national media, celebrities, and everything in between.
It was a great experience for our company to get national-level exposure and have conversations with thousands of other automotive-based companies and prospective businesses partners.
We had a blast all week long and, after developing hundreds of new business relationships, are very confident the trip will be well worth the investment.
Later we'll recap some of the more specific happenings at this year's show, but first - incase you're not familiar with SEMA - the question and answer section below will get you up to speed.
What is SEMA Show? The SEMA Show is the premier automotive vehicles and specialty products trade show event in the world. The show also provides attendees with educational seminars, demonstrations, special events, networking, thousands of exhibitors, and other opportunities.
Where is it located? SEMA Show is located at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
How often does the trade show happen? The show occurs every year in Las Vegas.
Why is it such a big deal? As we described earlier, SEMA is an elite event within the automotive industry that attracts tens of thousands of people each year. Considering this event is not open to the general public, that's impressive.
There are always multiple celebrity appearances, both domestic and international attendees, new products being introduced, thousands of exhibitors, and more.
SEMA sets the tone as a leader within the industry by also providing educational seminars for those looking to learn and apply new tactics to their business.
How can I attend a SEMA Show? As long as you're part of the automotive industry, there are a few ways to attend:
- You can register as an individual employee as long as your company is qualified to attend the show;
- Your company can pay to be an exhibitor and have a booth at the trade show, exposing your business and its products to thousands of new potential customers;
- As a member of the automotive industry media, you may be qualified to attend a SEMA Show.
Regardless of how you're attending, you'll need to register for the show well in advance.
What are you doing there?
We're so glad you asked! As a printing and graphics company within the automotive industry - we have a long history working with auto auctions and car dealerships - we are qualified to attend!
This year, we were ecstatic to have the opportunity to be an exhibitor on the world's biggest and best trade show in our industry.
Booth #37230 proudly displayed our dome decal products, showing off the power of three-dimensional decals and how they can add value to cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles.
Where can I learn more about future shows? Any and all information about future SEMA Shows can be found at the official website: semashow.com/the-sema-show.
SEMA Show Recap
Kicking off the four-day event was a keynote speech by Mike Machalowicz, an entrepreneurial advocate who encouraged everyone by explaining how they can grow a remarkable company, regardless of industry.
Immediately following were a handful of fantastic half-hour to one-hour sessions centered around marketing, legal matters, international business, and much more.
There was so much information for attendees to soak up right off the bat. As the week went on things only got more exciting!
Not only did fantastic educational sessions like the ones mentioned above continue, but celebrity appearances from Richard Petty - The King - and Jeff Gordon had the place going wild! Throughout the week, there were countless celebrity appearances around the convention center.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the trade show exhibitors (including our display!) were gaining the attention of attendees from around the world.
Giveaways of small promotional items to large vehicles, brand-new vehicles on display, photo opportunities with models or other celebrities, and even one company 3D printing a brand-new, unique vehicle during the show had people moving around in an excited manner.
Almost as exciting as the action on the trade show floor was the action on twitter using the SEMA Show hashtag!
Our company strategically used twitter to help promote our booth, but we were surprised to see how many other companies were doing the exact same thing.
Many of our tweets received responses, favorites, and retweets from other companies and influential people.

If your company is qualified to attend SEMA Show, we highly recommend you attend and consider becoming an exhibitor.
The amount of educational material, national company exposure, and networking opportunities presented are invaluable and something you will not forget.
If you end up hosting a display exhibit, you'll likely have earned new clients, customers, and business partnerships after just one week!
Now that's return on investment.
